Wide Brim Hat c/o Oasap, DIY Collar, DIY Cross Necklace, Black Baroque Shirt c/o Motel Rocks, Lock & Key Belt c/o Romwe, Black Skater Skirt c/o Romwe, White Mountain Booties
Today was my first day of senior year! Do you guys like my hair today? I'm wearing some clip on hair extensions that I ordered from eBay, for only $1! They aren't long enough for my hair completely but it's okay, I don't really mind. They are also synthetic though so they can't last that long but for $1, you can just buy them in bulk. I'm so excited that I finally found something unusual to do with my dark hair because I get so jealous of people who have gorgeous ombre pastel hair. These white highlights are quick and simple to put in, but have a rather striking effect. Really love how white accents in hair gives off that spooky vibe like in Sweeney Todd or sported by Frankenstein's bride.
I got this velvet baroque shirt from Motel Rocks and the detailing is so gorgeous. I'm trying to add more basic white and black blouses to my wardrobe and this one has the perfect whimsical touch, yet it would still be easy to throw on in the mornings. Added the white collar to accent the white highlights, and the cross necklace to pop out the gold charms in the belt.
I had APES, AP Literature, and AP Calculus AB today! I really like all my teachers this year; it's also going to be the third year that I've had the same math teacher but he's the best math teacher ever so I'm happy about it! One time he let the class have an In N Out party! Tomorrow I have AP Comparative Government and Fashion 3. So I'll let you guys know how those classes go. Trying to get ahead on all my homework as much as I can before the senioritis kicks in! Hopefully having only 5 classes this year will help me stay on track easier!
Ah how is AP Lit and Calc AB? I'll have those classes (Plus AP Gov, although I'm taking US and not Comp) once school starts on Wednesday! I'm jealous you only have 5...
ReplyDeleteOn to other things... I'm really in love with your look, I absolutely adore your shirt -- the velvet detailing is stunning!

you have a fashion class at your school? so incredibly jealous *___*
ReplyDeleteCan I just say I love how much baroque influences there have been in clothes in 2012? The art history nerd in me is really pleased about it, haha. You're definitely right about how gorgeous the detailing in this shirt is and it feels like a shirt that would go well with skirts and pants alike. Good luck with the rest of your first week! Once you get through that, it's only uphill from there (:

ReplyDeleteFirst day of senior year! It's good that you like all your teachers haha, I don't think I ever had a teacher for more than one year in high school over here. I found it hard to keep on top of homework as well, especially during the later years of high school. Good luck with everything though! :D

The shirt is beautiful! I love this look, it reminds me of The Addams Family/The Munsters in the best possible way :)

That shirt is beautiful. It has to be one of the prettiest pieces of clothing I have seen in a long time. I love the extensions.. I got purple and pink pastel ones which makes me slightly less jealous of people with colorful hair without actually having to dye it xx
ReplyDeleteLove the shirt! what are you wearing underneath it?
ReplyDeleteI think I was just wearing a nude colored bra. The print is busy enough that you can't really see under it that well. But if you want more coverage you can always wear a nude tank top :)
Deletehow did you make the collar?
