Gold Leaf Crown from Icing's, Black Lace Bustier from Forever 21, Claw Bangle c/o Merrin & Gussy, Floral Blouse c/o Romwe, Floral Leggings c/o Oasap, Nude Ankle Strap Pumps from Nine West

Photos by Zhi Wei

Now that I'm finally settled into my dorm at Parsons, I'm happy to get back on track with my blog again! Today's photos were shot by my new friend, Zhi Wei, who is a photography major at Parsons. His entire portfolio is really beautiful so be sure to flip through it at his website here. He's one of the photographers I'll be working with this year to shoot my looks so you'll be seeing his work again soon! :)

This look is inspired by a queen or empress, with a romantic and edgy twist. I was so surprised to find this leaf headband at Icing's for only $4, and this bustier from Forever 21 for $14! The bustier fits incredibly well and I'd definitely recommend buying one while it's on sale before it goes out of stock. This floral blouse is one of my favorite printed pieces in my closet because it looks stunning when mixed with the right prints! I paired them with my new leggings which feature a stained glass design with a lady. The color palette in these leggings are going to be especially gorgeous for the fall!

Classes start on Monday so I'll be sure to update you guys after going through my first week of classes!

COTTON

DIY Flower Crown, Gold Anchor Necklace c/o Lulu*s,  White Cotton Dress from H&M, Cotton Scarf from Calvin Klein, Nude Ankle Strap Pumps from Nine West

This is a more artistic shoot I recently did for a collaboration with Chictopia and Cotton: The Fabric of Our Lives! When I think of cotton, I think of lightness and purity, which were the themes I used to guide me as I put together this easygoing, summer outfit that you can wear any day. I decided on a clean, white color palette and chose to wear a simple, cotton mini dress paired with my favorite scarf. I love these shots of the scarf flowing in the wind because they help to convey the lightness and airiness of cotton :) To add a pop of color, I wore my blue and white flower crown because they reminded me of the summer sky.

Besides the fact that I thought shooting this look in the fields would add to the natural theme of these photos, it's also a very meaningful location to me, especially because this might be the last look I'm able to post to my blog before I leave for New York in 4 days. I took a lot of my first outfit photos here when I started my blog about 2 years ago, and these fields symbolize both the beginning and end of a chapter of my life as I get ready to make the big move and finally start studying at my dream school, Parsons! Everything feels so surreal!

PINK PRINCESS

DIY Flower Crown, Vera Wang "Pink Princess" Perfume, Gold Crochet Top c/o Awwdore, Rope Belt, White Tulle Skirt c/o Chicwish, Nude Ankle Strap Pumps from Nine West

Today's look is inspired by Vera Wang's Pink Princess perfume! Amongst other things I have on my back to school shopping list such as art supplies and stuff for my dorm, I really wanted to find a signature fragrance for this coming school year. I was first drawn to this perfume because it looked like a fancy artifact from a video game, but I fell in love with the perfume because it has a very youthful, bubbly, and romantic scent. It's a floral perfume but it's not too heavy either. There are a lot of different fragrance notes in this scent, but the ones that stand out most to me are grapefruit, sorbet, and lilies :) If you want to pick up a bottle for yourself, you can buy this perfume at Kohls!

For this outfit, I wanted to create a girly, princess-inspired look to match the name of this perfume. I wore my new magenta flower crown to match the bottle, and styled the rest of the look with fairytale-esque pieces. I love this gold crochet top from Awwdore because of the way the thread sparkles in the light! I paired it with my poofy skirt from Chicwish, and my rope belt, which I can always count on to add some storybook charm.

Hope you all are enjoying your summer! I leave for college in 8 days, so my move to New York is fast approaching. I still have yet to start packing though! Are any of you guys getting ready to go back to school soon? What's on your back to school shopping list? <3
