Layered Pearl Necklaces from Forever 21, Heart Necklace from GoJane, Red Bikini c/o Peixoto Swim

Photography by Nate Bernardo

Whenever I come home to California, the beach is always one of the first places I plan a trip to. Even better is when both my friends and I are back home at the same time during summer or winter vacation because that means we can all get together at another bonfire party. This red bikini, from Peixoto Swim, was my swimsuit of choice for our festive celebration :) I wanted to make the look more original so I decided to layer some necklaces for a fun and flirty touch.

The sad/funny part of our bonfire party was that we arrived too late to the beach to actually acquire a bonfire pit. Luckily, a kind group of other young adults left a little early and gave us their pit (fire and extra homework to burn included!) So although we were freezing for a good amount of time when the sun went down and we had no source of heat, our party did have a happy ending (not to mention, the other beachgoers who gave us their leftover birthday cake!)

Customized Strapless Mermaid Gown c/o Fame & Partners

There is nothing I love putting on more than a formal gown and going out to a fancy event! :) I was so elated when I had the chance to style one of the lovely gowns from Fame & Partners, a new evening wear brand that started up recently that I wish was around when I was desperately looking for a prom dress that I felt was unique enough for my taste, yet also fell under a reasonable price point. Fame & Partners has an amazing selection of designs, from more edgy or avant garde dresses to ones in a more classic and timeless style. You can even customize your dress by adding on or removing certain features to it, or having it made in the color of your choice.

The fit of the dress was great, especially considering my difficulty in finding strapless dresses that stay on properly on me! This particular dress is available for $250 which in my opinion is a bargain for a dress with such a long train, not to mention that for $250, it sure looked a lot better than some of the dresses that girls had purchased at my high school for $500 or more. As my new go to place for evening wear now, I highly suggest anyone looking for a formal dress to look through what they have, especially for those of you already looking for senior prom dresses (I know from experience how early you girls start looking)! You'll easily be the best dressed, and have done so without breaking your wallet! ;)

A special thank you to my boyfriend and little sister for helping me out so much with this photoshoot! <3

BACK TO SCHOOL W/ INTEL

Transparent Glasses c/o kensie, Cashmere Sweater c/o Everlane, Grey Tank c/o Gypsy Warrior, Black Belt from Forever 21, Blue Plaid Shirt from Hollister, Grey Skirt c/o Gypsy Warrior, Navy Blue Backpack from H&M, Ankle Strap Heels from Ivanka Trump

Also featuring the Intel 2 in 1 Surface Pro 2!

Many things have happened since this past May. To sum it all up, I completed my first internship at Seventeen Magazine where I worked in the fashion closet, I cut my hair short, and now I'm back home in California again which means it's time to get back into blogging again! As school starts again soon for many of us, I thought it would be fitting to create a back to school themed look. One of my favorite pieces in this outfit is my cashmere sweater from Everlane, a brand that makes luxury basics and is always transparent about their production process and doesn't mark up their prices. For someone who has begun to value quantity over quality more, I am happy to support this company! As part of this BTS themed look, I also want to show you guys a new gadget I'm excited to use this year for school!

For this post, I had the chance to work with Intel to try out one of their Intel 2 in 1 tablet laptops, one of which is the Surface Pro 2. I'm pretty excited to use this for school because it's lightweight and much more convenient to carry around to class than my heavy laptop! I still prefer my larger laptop when working on Adobe programs of course, but the Surface Pro 2 is perfect for my seminar or lecture courses for taking notes. Which may I mention, you can do so by utilizing the magnetic, snap on keyboard or by using the pen to write directly on the tablet! It's also great if I want to work on updating my blog or responding to important emails in between class. If any of you guys are thinking of getting a new gadget for school this year, the 2 in 1 tablets are great for the lightweight design of a tablet while keeping the increased functionality of a laptop. I'll be updating you guys on how I've been using it once school starts too!

Thank you guys, as always, for reading and for continuing to support my blog! xo
