BE BRAVE

Dressed in earthy green tones, my natural inclination towards monochrome drew me to shoot these outfit photos in a forest setting! My crossbody bag, lace up boots, and Brave charm bracelet, all made me feel ready for exploration and adventure!

Read on for full outfit details and sustainability points for each item in this outfit!

The Scarf:
This lovely green ombre scarf is from Sseko, an ethical fashion brand that employs women in Uganda from all walks of life who are ending the cycle of poverty and also provides scholarships to college-bound women too! I love that this cotton scarf was not only hand-crafted but also hand-dyed. It's also of a large enough size that it can work as a shawl/kimono too!

The Dress:
I found this super cute secondhand dress on Poshmark! I love how unique it is with the drawstring cutout back and the dainty hem. For only $5 it was definitely a steal!

The Bag:
This was another secondhand item I purchased on Poshmark, also for only $5! It's the perfect color and size, making it my go-to bag of the moment!

The Charm Bracelet:
Another beautiful piece by Sseko, this charm bracelet is known as their Brave Bracelet! They have tons of interchangeable charms, allowing each person to build their own unique story. Each charm represents different qualities, and the ones I chose here are the Piece of Bravery, Piece of Generosity, and Piece of Strength!

I chose Bravery to remind myself not to let fear of failure hold me back, and to take more risks! I chose Generosity to remember how important it is to give back to others and the environment, and to keep that focus at the heart of all my work. And I chose Strength to encourage myself to persevere through times of uncertainty and to keep working hard towards my goals even when things don't work out the way I hope.

The Socks:
Sustainable socks are something I've been on the lookout for, and over the knee ones have been even harder to find! I was really happy to discover Pact, as their socks are made of organic cotton and are also ethically made. They look very cute scrunched down as well. You can find Pact at Whole Foods too which is where I picked up these socks!

The Shoes:
These secondhand, faux leather boots are yet again, another find from Poshmark! They get lighter at the tips of the boot giving them a very cool, weathered feel to them. Ready to try Poshmark? Be sure to take advantage of my referral code above so you can get $10 free credits! :)

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and thank you so much for visiting my blog! <3
