eco friendly clothing
Surrounded by the natural beauty and positive energy of the forest, this shoot was truly a retreat for the mind and spirit. I love doing outfit shoots because they combine my love for styling and also for exploring new locations. One of my favorite things is seeing an outfit and setting paired in such a harmonious way that they create something much greater altogether!

Read on for the full sustainability breakdown of each item in this outfit and also details for a sneakers giveaway with Inkkas!

Handmade Moon & Druzy Necklace c/o Lilacs in the Sun
Handmade Cross Cuff c/o Soko Jewelry
Hammered Arrow Cuff c/o Soko Jewelry
Secondhand Floral Shorts from Poshmark

The Necklace:
I still can't get over how beautiful this crescent moon and raw druzy necklace is! This was a custom piece that I collaborated on with Michelle, the designer of Lilacs in the Sun. All her pieces are handmade by her in California. She is so wonderful to work with especially if you have something particular in mind but can't find what you're looking for, she will make it a reality! She's even making a custom piece for my younger sister to show off her backless prom dress!

The Bralette:
This is the second bralette I custom designed from Impish Lee, whom I featured another bralette from in my previous outfit post as well! Impish Lee is a fully customizable intimates and loungewear brand that is proudly made in-house in New York. To read more on my experience using the online customizer tool to design my garments and to see before-and-after pictures, check out my previous post here! Don't forget to use code Jennifer10 to get 10% off if you plan on placing an order :)

The Cuffs:
These cuffs are from Soko, an ethical jewelry brand that aims to directly connect customers to talented artisans around the world who make stunning handcrafted jewelry, using natural and upcycled materials. These gorgeous silver cuffs were both handmade by Mulinge, who climbed the ranks from market vendor, to apprentice, and now to being a shop owner and an in-house Soko artisan! I am wearing the cross cuff and the arrow cuff and I love the hammered finish that he has added to both of them!

The Shorts:
These secondhand shorts are another awesome find from Poshmark. I love the design of these shorts and how they have panels on the side, which really help to create an hourglass figure if you have straighter hips like mine! The subtle mixing of prints in this piece is a fun touch too!

The Sneakers:
And finally onto these amazing sneakers from Inkkas! The style I am wearing here is the 2016 Bluebird Low Top. Inkkas is based around the concept of using authentic textiles and working with local artisans to create footwear the connects the world. This pair is made using fabric that is handmade by artisans in Peru.

Inkkas also has a project called the One Shoe One Tree project, which plants one for every purchase. This project is in partnership with Trees for the Future, and I think it's highly commendable that in purchasing a pair of Inkkas, you not only support fair practices in fashion but also help to reforest the world :)

Inkkas and I are running a giveaway on my Instagram for a pair of their Classic sneakers (they have both women's and men's styles too!) You can enter here!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog! :)

  4. This time you look like a little nimph of the woods playing and enjoying herself next to a brook with pure and enchanted waters: as a matter of fact, every time you look at yourself in it, the stream seems to say you:"How beautiful you are Jennifer"!!! Another fab outfit I like so much, with a great matching of colours and gorgeous accessories too! You hit the nail on the head again!!!❤
