eco friendly clothing
Handmade and hand-printed, this two piece set is a lovely example of the beauty of slow fashion. A romantic outfit with a sense of adventure, it seemed only fitting to shoot this in a dreamy forest pathway.

Read on for full outfit details and why each piece in this outfit is a sustainable choice!

Rose Printed Two-Piece Set c/o Whiskey Dog Wares
Moon & Druzy Necklace c/o Lilacs in the Sun
Cross Cuff & Arrow Cuff c/o Soko
Secondhand Mini Backpack from Vinted
Secondhand Lace Up Boots from Poshmark

The Top & Skirt:
This set is by Whiskey Dog Wares, a handmade clothing brand based in North Carolina where each piece is made to order by the designer, Emily, herself! She is so sweet and you can see the love and craftsmanship she puts into every piece. On top of the fact that she sews everything herself, she also draws, cuts, and prints her fabrics by hand. One of the best things about made to order clothing is being able to request that the pieces be made to your measurements, which is why this set fits me like a glove :)

The fabric is a super soft Italian bamboo cotton that feels amazing on the skin. These are garments that feel very true to my style, and it makes me really happy to know that they were consciously made and made with love.

The Jewelry:
My go-to silver set of jewelry—a necklace that was handmade in California from Lilacs in the Sun, and a handcrafted and artisan-made set of cuffs from Soko, an ethical jewelry brand!

The Backpack:
One of the coolest things I've thrifted, and on top of that, was found online! This backpack was a $10 secondhand purchase I scored from Vinted. It's well worn but I think that gives it character and it makes me wonder about the story behind this piece before it ended up with me!

The Socks & Shoes:
My socks are from Pact Apparel, and they are made from organic cotton and are sweatshop-free, being GOTS certified as well as Fair Trade USA certified. You can get Pact socks at your local Whole Foods too! These boots were also a secondhand find that I got from Poshmark.

I hope you all are enjoying the weekend, and thank you for stopping by!
xo, Jennifer
